Application of quality control circle activity on improving medical staffs′ compliance on wearing isolation gowns before contact to multiple drug-resistant patients in intensive care unit
ObjectiveTo study the influence of quality control circle activity on improving medical staffs'compliance on wearing isolation gowns before contact to multiple drug-resistant patients in intensive care unit. MethodsThe quality control circle group was setted up, the present situation of medical staffs wearing isolation gowns before contact to multiple drug-resistant patients in intensive care unit was investigated, the reasons of not wearing isolation gowns were analysed by Fishbone analysis, Plato analysis was used to identify the key problems, and then the expectation aim was setted. Medical staffs were received relevant training according to the different structure of knowledge, and were examined before training, the staffs who contact to multiple drug-resistant patients must past the examined after training. ResultsAfter the implementation of quality control circle activity, the compliance on the wearing isolation gowns among medical staffs was improved from 42.9% to 80%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). ConclusionsDeveloping the activity of quality control circle can improve the medical staffs′ compliance on wearing isolation gowns before contact to multiple drug-resistant patients, which can reduce the probability of crossing infection.
