ObjectiveTo understand the electrocardiogram examination results of employees in nuclear power plant and its influencing factors, so as to provide a reliable basis for exploring effective protective measures. MethodsA total of 929 employees (817 in the exposure hazard group and 112 in the non-exposure hazard group) from different workshops of a nuclear power plant in Guangxi were selected for a questionnaire survey and an electrocardiogram examination to analyze the influencing factors of arrhythmia. ResultsAmong 929 employees, 310 (33.4%) employees had electrocardiographic abnormalities, and 258 (27.8%) of them had arrhythmia. The incidences of sinus bradycardia and atrioventricular block in exposure hazard group were higher than those in the non-exposure hazard group (all P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis results showed that male, age <30 years old and with exposure to risk factors were independent risk factors for arrhythmia in nuclear power plant employees. ConclusionThe abnormal electrocardiogram rate of employees working in the nuclear power plant is high. Enterprises should strengthen the occupational health supervision, perform regular electrocardiogram examinations and other health screenings, and pay attention to occupational protection of employees.
