Relationship between single nucleotide polymorphism of TAGLN2 gene and genetic susceptibility of hepatocellular carcinoma families in Fusui County, Guangxi
ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms of TAGLN2 gene rs2252815 and rs2789422 and the genetic susceptibility of hepatocellular carcinoma families in Fusui County, Guangxi. MethodsA total of 79 cases from high incidence of liver cancer families were selected in Fusui County, Guangxi. 20 cases with hepatocellular carcinoma were set as hepatocarcinoma group, 59 cases without hepatocellular carcinoma were set as non-hepatocarcinoma group. 10 normal control families (40 cases) were set as normal family control group. The genotype and allele frequency distribution of TAG225N15 gene rs2252815 and rs2789422 were detected by time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Unconditional logistic regression was used to analyze the difference of genotype and allele frequency distribution among the three groups. ResultsThree genotypes of CC, CT and TT were identified in the locus rs2252815 of TAGLN2 gene, including 19 cases of CC genotype, 47 cases of CT genotype and 51 cases of TT genotype (2 cases were not identified corresponding genotype). Three genotypes of CC, CT and TT were identified in the locus rs2789422, including 72 cases of CC genotype, 43 cases of CT genotype and 3 cases of TT genotype (1 case was not identified corresponding genotype). There were not statistically significant in frequencies of CC, CT, TT genotype and allele C and T distribution at locus rs2252815 and rs2789422 of TAGLN2 gene between hepatocarcinoma group and non-hepatocarcinoma group or the normal family control group. ConclusionThere is no significant correlation between the single nucleotide polymorphisms at locus rs2252815 and rs2789422 of TAGLN2 gene and the genetic susceptibility of hepatocellular carcinoma families in Fusui Country, Guangxi.
