ObjectiveTo explore the clinical efficacy of balance needle combined with Chaihu Shugan Powder in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy and its influences on blood glucose level and nerve conduction velocity. MethodsA total of 82 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy treated in our hospital from February 2017 to March 2018 were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 41 cases in each group.The two groups were given basic treatment,On this basis, the control group was treated with Chaihu Shugan Powder,while the observation group was treated with balance needle on the basis of the therapeutic method of control group.The clinical efficacy,blood glucose level and nerve conduction velocity were compared between two groups. ResultAfter 2 mouths treatment,the total effective rate of observation group (95.12%) was higher than control group (78.05%),with statistical significance (P＜0.05).The fasting blood glucose (FBG), postprandial 2h blood glucose (2hPBG) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P＜0.05).The nerve conduction velocities (MCV) of nervus medianus,nervus peroneus communis,nervus tibialis and the sensory nerve conduction velocity (SCV) of observation group were all significantly higher than those in control group,with statistical significance (P＜0.05). ConclusionThe balance needle combined with Chaihu Shugan Powder in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy has a good effect,it can significantly relieve clinical symptoms,effectively reduce blood glucose level and enhance the nerve conduction velocity,which is worthy of promoting.
