ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effects of the high dose intravenous immunoglobulin for severe viral encephalitis.Methods72 cases patients were divided into treatment group and control group.Treatment group was accepted intravenous 400 mg·kg-1·d-1 for five days under routine therapy and control group kept routine therapy.To compare symptom,signs,recovery time and days in hospital of treatment group with those of control group.ResultsThe clinical symptom,signs,recovery time and days in hospital of treatment group were shorter than those of control group (P＜0.05).ConclusionImmunoglobulin can improve signs and symptoms of viral encephalitis effectively and shorten in-hospital days.
