Objective To explore the effect of dihydroquercetin combined with Baofukang suppository in the treatment of cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Methods A total of 66 patients with cervical HPV infection were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a traditional treatment group or a combined treatment group, with 33 cases in each group. The traditional treatment group was treated with Baofukang suppository, the combined treatment group was treated with the combination of dihydroquercetin and Baofukang suppository, and both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. The HPV-DNA load, HPV negative conversion rate, and results of cervical liquid-based cytologic test were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the HPV-DNA load between the two groups (P>0.05). After 3 months of treatment, the HPV-DNA load in the combined treatment group was lower than that in the traditional treatment group (P<0.05), the HPV negative conversion rate was higher than that in the traditional treatment group (P<0.05), and the results of cervical liquid-based cytologic test were better than those in the traditional treatment group. Conclusion In the treatment of patients with cervical HPV infection, dihydroquercetin combined with Baofukang suppository can reduce the HPV-DNA load, increase the HPV negative conversion rate, and improve the results of cervical liquid-based cytologic test.
